Any natural person or legal entity wishing to actively support the purpose stated in the Constitution of the Deutsche TV-Plattfrom may become a member of the association. Membership is acquired through a written (informal) application approved by a majority of 2/3 of the Board of Directors. Members shall designate a person to act as their representative at the General Assembly and to attend to their voting rights. According to the Constitution, the association has ordinary, extraordinary and supporting members.
Ordinary Members are members with status A or B.
Members with “A-status” are manufacturers and service providers, programme and content providers, broadcasting corporations (public and private law bodies), media authorities of the federal states, network and satellite operators, and all other companies of similar nature whose activities have a direct reference to the digital media industry and/or which pursue a profit-oriented business.
Members with “B-status” are institutions and organisations that do not pursue a profit-oriented business, but consist of Members or represent institutions that do pursue a profit-oriented business. Among these are, e.g. associations, joint-ventures and similar institutions.
Extraordinary members are e.g. federal and state governments, public authorities, government agencies and associations that are directly or indirectly engaged in the sector of digital television. Extraordinary members perform advisory tasks but do not have the right to vote). Their membership is not subject to the payment of fees.
Supporting members provide support in the work and the aims of the TV Plattform through voluntary contributions and/or donations.
Admission of members takes place through an informal application posted to the Board, Managing Director or the office of the Deutsche TV-Plattform. Annual membership fees are:
for ordinary A status members: 10.400 Euro
for enterprises with less than 500 employees: 5.200 Euro
for ordinary B status members: 2.600 Euro
